The appeal of the resort goes beyond its elegance. It creates a destination that promotes economic activity for the community in any season. It re-introduces lakeside dining and beverage offerings to guests and residents. Event space that can fit up to 300 people opens the door to lucrative gatherings, business meetings and conventions that benefit residents in every season.
The resort will be built on the former Edgewater property, enhancing a space the residents already enjoy.
When completed, the 130-room resort will offer rental equipment, safety personnel, food and beverage services for the beach — though it will be careful to offer products that do not directly compete with longstanding businesses in the area, such as the Snack Shack (we’re fans).
Speaking of the beach, the Sandpoint Lakeside Resort is most valuable to the community if it carries on the traditions of City Beach and enhances the beach experience that residents know and love.
