The Whitefish Ice Out Classic is a community-focused challenge celebrating the changing seasons in Montana. Starting in the winter of 2025, and each winter thereafter, a custom statue will be placed on the ice of Whitefish Lake. Participants can purchase tickets to guess the exact date and time the statue will break through the frozen surface during the spring ice-out.
Tickets are just $5 each, and the fun comes with a purpose; 50% of the total ticket sales will be awarded to the winning guess, while the remaining 50% will go to Averill Giving, a local 501(c)(3) supporting community charities, initiatives, and events.
Hosted at The Lodge at Whitefish Lake, the Whitefish Ice Out Classic is a simple, exciting way to give back to the community we love while enjoying fun competition and a chance to win some money.
